DUKE OF BRUNSWICK:

A limited edition of six hand-carved, hand-pressed woodcut prints.

Designed to capture the coexistence of power and elegance, Duke of Brunswick is a magnificent edition that showcases raw, uncovered, and unashamed texture. Nailed to a raw wood board, each print was crafted with great thought and care.

While conveying such power, the fragility of the exposed kitakata paper creates a connection with the collector and this work. It is a subtle reminder that art is living, breathing, aging, and in need of human care.

The entire edition is currently being shown at The Logan Gallery’s Spring 2025 Exhibition.

Shown at the Jacob Spori Gallery’s 2025 Student Show.

PLEASE COME HOME FOR CHRISTMAS:

A four-layered woodcut print that was entirely hand-carved & hand-pressed, this piece tested my patience but is all too meaningful, making the hand cramps and long days in the printmaking studio worthwhile.

Christmas hasn’t felt the same since my grandma sold her house. It isn’t her fault that I feel this way (it’s mine in fact), but nonetheless, it got me wondering why I felt so heartbroken over it years later.

There are little relics and artifacts in this print that bring back memories and led me to personal discoveries of how homemaking can be simple yet meaningful, the importance of family gatherings & traditions, and more than anything, my love for my grandma.

She provided the sanctuary, the games, the toys, the familiar long table and leather couches where we laughed, cried, and sang together. She is the reason those memories even exist. Everywhere I look on this print, I see her efforts that made a home so hard to give up, and so hard to get over.

SERENADE OF STILLNESS:

Done in graphite on 8” x 10” paper.

Paying attention to the foreground in this piece, it brings a sense of serenity. When looking to the background, it begins to feel like a storm is coming in. The sky is grayed, the trees are bent in the wind, jagged lines and fierce strokes contrast with what was initially seen.

Despite the conditions, she remains poised and cleaves to knowledge, wisdom, and peace. It’s almost as if you don’t notice the wind at all. It hits her like a subtle breeze. There even seems to be sun breaking through the gray sky and illuminating her.

She lives in a serenade of stillness.
